A very simple webfinger server written using Sinatra and DataMapper.
== QUICKSTART:
git clone git://github.com/darron/webfinger-sinatra.git
webfinger.rb :Setup DOMAIN and WEBFINGER_SERVER
webfinger.rb: Uncomment "DataMapper.auto_migrate!"
Create webfinger db on local dev machine.
thin --rackup config.ru start
Add a record to your MySQL table - this will be what DM searches when it gets queried:
id: 1
email: email@example.com
finger: XML data goes here.
Check it out:
http://localhost:3000/webfinger/email@example.com
Update your finger data and upload to server - I used Heroku:
heroku create app-name-here
git push heroku master
heroku db:push mysql://root:@localhost/webfinger
